I didn't have time to create something new for Illustration Friday - in fact this was painted many years ago. The real bear sat too close to a fire once and has a singed ear, but I repaired that in the picture.
What a wonderful piece. The sweet little bear and his story, the pattern design on the pillow and the detail of the chair. It is a beautiful illustration and painting.
This is such a lovely illustration of your much loved bear. This picture must stay with the bear, wherever he chooses to live. It is his portrait! I once had a house rabbit who liked to sit too close to the fire. His whiskers once singed and curled, but he was fine!
I am moved by something. I had my old tiger which was handmade by my grandma!

What a wonderful illustration. It made me smile. There is nothing so endearing as a loved stuffed animal. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteTake care,

You know, I have a bear with a toasted ear, too! I washed him and left him too near the gas fire to dry out. He's still with us, though.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture!
